Zwitterionic polyacrylamide is a polymer composed of vinyl amide and vinyl cationic monomer acrylamide, which are hydrolyzed and copolymerized. Through infrared spectroscopy analysis, it was found that the product not only has a carboxyl negative charge after acrylamide hydrolysis, but also a vinyl positive charge on the chain. Therefore, it forms an irregular polymer with both positive and negative charges on the molecular chain.
