The production method of scale inhibitor PBTCA (CAS No.37971-36-1): 1. Add equimolar dimethyl phosphite and dimethyl maleic acid into a reaction kettle, and react at 100-105 ℃ for 4 hours under the catalysis of sodium peroxide to generate intermediate (I). 2. Transfer (I) to a condensation kettle and undergo Michael addition reaction with acrylic acid in the presence of a catalyst to generate intermediate (II). 3. Transfer (II) to a hydrolysis kettle and hydrolyze it under acid catalysis to obtain the product.
