It can selectively block potassium ion channels.The production method of Tetraethylammonium bromide (TEAB, Bromide TEA): In a 250mL three necked bottle equipped with a reflux condenser and stirrer, 7mL (5g, 0.05mol) of triethylamine, 4mL (5.5g, 0.05mol) of bromoethane, and 20mL of 1,2-dichloroethane or benzene are added. Reflux heating for 1.5-2 hours. After cooling the reaction solution, crystals precipitate, filter, wash twice with a small amount of 1,2-dichloroethane or benzene, dry and store in a dryer. The yield is 8-10g.
