Trimethylammonium chloride, abbreviated as TMBAC or TMBA, is a quaternary ammonium salt compound with CAS number 56-93-9, molecular formula C ₁₀ H ₁₆ NCl, and molecular weight 185.7. This compound is synthesized from benzyl chloride and trimethylamine and is mainly used in metal chemical analysis, emulsifiers, and polymerization inhibitors.
