DBNPA 10222-01-2

Dibromocyanoacetamide, also known as 2,2-dibromo-2-cyanoacetamide, 2,2-dibromo-3-nitrosopropynamide, 2,2-dibromo-3-nitrilopropionamide, 2,2-dibromo-2-cyanoacetamide, and 2,2-dibromo-2-cyanoacetamide, abbreviated as DBNPA. At room temperature, it is a white crystalline powder with a moldy and spicy odor. It can dissolve in organic solvents such as acetone, polyethylene glycol, benzene, ethanol, etc., and is slightly soluble in water. Its aqueous solution is relatively stable under acidic conditions and easily decomposes under alkaline conditions. Dibromocyanoacetamide is a toxic chemical with moderate toxicity, harmful by inhalation, skin contact, and ingestion. Lack of specific toxicity data, reference can be made to the toxicity of acetamide. Under the action of reducing agent hydrogen sulfide, dibromocyanoacetamide is easily debrominated to produce non-toxic cyanacetamide. The molecular formula is C3H2Br2N2O.
