Isothiazolinones(CMIT/MIT),also known as Casson and Kaisong, are a new type of highly efficient environmental friendly fungicide preservative. Their chemical names are 5-chloro-2-methyl-4-isothiazolin-3-one (CMIT) and 2-methyl-4-isothiazolin-3-one (MIT) (Isothiazolinones) CAS numbers 26172-55-4 and 2682-20-4. They are colorless to amber transparent liquids, completely soluble in water and low molecular alcohol, and stable under PH 2-9 conditions. Widely used in the production and storage of cosmetics, daily chemical products, lotion, emulsions and other aqueous organic products to inhibit the growth of bacteria and fungi. Isothiazolinone is a fungicide with the chemical formula C8H9ClN2O2S2. Isothiazolinone exerts its bactericidal effect by breaking the bonds between bacterial and algal proteins. After coming into contact with microorganisms, isothiazolinone can rapidly and irreversibly inhibit their growth, leading to the death of microbial cells. Therefore, Isothiazolinones(CMIT/MIT)has strong inhibitory and killing effects on common bacteria, fungi, algae, etc. High killing efficiency, good degradability, no residue production, safe operation, good compatibility, strong stability, and low usage cost.
