After the reaction is complete, cool the reaction mixture and separate tetrapropylammonium hydroxide using extraction or distillation methods. Tetrapropyl ammonium hydroxide can be used as a strong alkaline reagent for deprotonation reactions and catalytic reactions in organic synthesis. It can also be used as cleaner, emulsifier or foam agent. In the water treatment process, tetrapropylammonium hydroxide can be used as a flocculant to remove suspended solids and pollutants from water. In the semiconductor manufacturing process, tetrapropylammonium hydroxide can be used for cleaning and processing silicon wafers.
